Coburg signs agreement with the Shanghai Institute of Technology
The University of Applied Sciences in Coburg has reaffirmed its agreement with the Shanghai Institute of Technology. Coburg has been cooperating with the Institute since 1998.
However, the recent visit of the new president of the Shanghai Institute, Dr Guanzhong Lu, to Coburg was seen as a perfect opportunity to reaffirm their cooperation. This time, however, the cooperation agreement will include a joint M.A. programme with integrated compulsory modules that must be taken at the partner university. The aim is to expand the existing agreement by promoting the exchange of both students and academics between the two institutions. Professor Heinrich Schafmeister, president of the University of Applied Sciences in Coburg, noted that we are going to where German companies produce their goods. Our students can enhance their knowledge and know-how in a different economy and culture, whilst at the same time, German companies in China get the best possible employees.
