New degree courses at the University of Applied Sciences in Jena
From this coming winter semester, there will be several new degree courses in the area of SciTec at the University of Applied Sciences in Jena. New B.A. courses in Opthalmics, Precision Engineering, Physical Technology, and Process-Integrated Environmental Protection will replace the old Diploma courses.
These new courses, which are held in English, are aimed at graduates of either engineering, scientific or technical-related courses and will qualify them to work in the area of scientific equipment construction. SciTec in Jena, with its five B.A. degree courses and two M.A. degree courses, is now leading the way in Thuringia when it comes to putting the Bologna Process into practice. The Bologna Process mandates that all universities should conform to the internationally recognised qualification system of B.A. and M.A. degrees.
