Call for Submissions: Natural Refrigeration Award 2005
eurammon is calling for submissions for the Natural Refrigeration Award 2005, a prize being awarded for the first time for the best academic thesis paper on the subject of natural refrigerants.
The Initiative for Natural Refrigerants is jointly hosting the prize together with the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and the Dutch trade magazine Koude & Luchtbehandeling. In sponsoring the Natural Refrigeration Award, eurammon seeks to provide support to promising young scientists and motivate them to do further research into refrigeration using natural refrigerants.
Eligibility Requirements
All graduates of universities, technical and other colleges, and similar institutes of higher education whose thesis was submitted for a Master or Bachelor degree are encouraged to apply. The thesis paper must be about refrigeration technology using natural refrigerants e.g. ammonia, carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons and water and must have been graded between January 2004 and May 2005.
Prizes
Three prizes will be awarded, with prize money totaling 5,000. In addition, eurammon will invite the three winners to present their thesis paper to an international audience at an event hosted by the task group. The prize winners will be picked by an international panel of judges from science, business and the media. The judges decision is final. Prizes will be presented in fall 2005.
