The
global climate change, increasing prices for matter and energy, a fast
growing world population and restrictive governmental regulations are
driving the demands for green technologies. In this respect agriculture,
forest and food industry are in pole positions. With green vision and
photonics many fundamental parameters of green technologies are
measurable and controllable. The 8th NEMO-SpectroNet Collaboration Forum
gives a competent insight in recent developments and bridge the
collaboration between experts in the fields of vision/photonics and
food.
Jena is the town of Carl Zeiss, Ernst Abbe and Otto Schott,
a modern industrial centre of scientific instrumentation with the
Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, the University of Applied Sciences
Jena, the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision
Engineering, the home of the ZEISS Planetarium, Optical Museum and the
leading factories CARL ZEISS and JENOPTIK. Jena in August is also one of
the nicest towns in Germany - warm, green and young.
