Announcement: 1st German-African ICT Forum, 19th - 21st October 2010, Berlin, Germany

Dear members of the German-African Business Association,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

From October 19th to 21st the German-African Business Association (Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft) organizes in cooperation with the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) the

1st German-African ICT Forum

in Berlin, Germany.

After an ‘Opening Forum’ on October 19th, 2010, at the premises of the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce in the ‘Haus der deutschen Wirtschaft’, Berlin, the conference will be held on October 20th and 21st, 2010, at the Mövenpick Hotel Berlin.

The programme will cover the following aspects of ‘IT and Security’:

• E-Government

• Civil and Inner Security

• ICT and Infrastructure

• E-Health

For our conference we have invited high ranking representatives from business and politics. Amongst others, we are expecting the Ghanaian Minister for Environment, Science and Technology, H.E. Sherry Ayittey, and the Zimbabwean Minister for Information and Communication Technology, H.E. Nelson Chamisa.

Moreover, various African Ambassadors will attend our forum, of whom we especially would like to mention H.E. Alberto Ribeiro, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola, Dean of the African Ambassadors in Germany, as well as further representatives from crucial public institutions.
