ERA-Nets WoodWisdom-Net: The aim of the WoodWisdom-Net project is to develop collaboration between the European forestry sector and forest-based industry, the wood material research community and funding organizations by integrating research resources in different countries. Promoting the development of innovative forest-based products, processes and services, the collaboration will benefit Europe's citizens and strengthen the competitiveness of Europe's forest sector and forest-based industry.
EFCE Student Mobility Award: The European Federation of Chemical Engineering is pleased to announce the EFCE Student Mobility Award 2007. The objective of the award is to promote mobility among European chemical engineering students. Launched in 2005, it is presented every two years to the best European students of chemical engineering who have spent one or more semesters studying abroad.

Natural Refrigeration Award: Students and graduates in the natural and technical sciences take note : eurammon is again posting the Natural Refrigeration Award for the best scientific thesis paper in the field of natural refrigerants. The European initiative for natural refrigerants is jointly sponsoring the 5,000 award with Swedens Royal Institute of Technology (Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan) in Stockholm and ScanRef, the Scandinavian HVACR trade publication. In addition, eurammon invites the winners to present their paper to an international audience at an event hosted by the initiative .

Award for Communication in the Life Sciences: The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) has issued a call for entries for its sixth Award for Communication in the Life Sciences.
Entwicklung des Deutschen Qualifikationsrahmens (DQR): Der DQR soll den voraussichtlich bis Jahresende finalisierten Europäischen Qualifikationsrahmen (EQR) national umsetzen. Vorgesehen ist, bis 2010 das Nationale Bildungssystem über den DQR mit dem EQR zu verknüpfen und bis 2012 alle neuen Qualifikationsnachweise - vermittelt über den DQR - mit einen klaren Verweis auf das zutreffende Niveau des Europäischen Qualifikationsrahmens zu versehen. Der im Rahmen des Bologna-Prozesses entwickelte Qualifikationsrahmen für Hochschulabschlüsse soll in die Entwicklung des DQR ebenso Eingang finden wie Gestaltungsvorschläge eines Qualifikationsrahmens mit Bezug zur beruflichen Bildung und zur Zertifizierung formalen und informellen Lernens in der Weiterbildung.

Joint research projects are required to be submitted to both of the nodal agencies by 10 October 2007.
