Southern Germany

The Region South Germany is an economic powerful region with few urban centers (Ulm, Munich, Regensburg, Nuermberg-Erlangen, Wurzburg and Augsburg) that are not well connected among each other but each of them have strong individual economies in different branches. Medical Technology is based in Erlangen, Wurzburg and Munich, vehicle manufacturing in Munich and Ulm, electronics in Regensburg, Munich and Augsburg, aerospace industry in Greater Munich and Augsburg electro technology in Erlangen and Munich. Vehicle and mechanical engineering is dominating in the  polycentric metropolitan region Stuttgart. Local suppliers and closely related R&D institutions are a strong basis for further growth. Apart from that the various landscapes in South Germany attract many tourists.
