NGP Cluster Excellence Conference in Copenhagen was a resounding success
450 participants from 27 countries attended the biggest European event for cluster managers, - members and policy makers. From May 26th to 27th Europe’s best cluster managers compared notes and there were ten workshops and two seminars for policy makers, and eleven workshops for cluster managers and cluster members at this conference. The keynotes were held by high ranking representatives from Germany, Norway, Iceland and Denmark.
The award of the NGP Cluster Excellence Prize – a sum of 10000 EUR - to the Norwegian cluster “NCE Maritime” as Best Practice Example proved to be another highlight.
In addition the benchmarking results of 18 cluster programmes and 143 clusters – the most extensive of its kind up to date - were presented at the conference. The method for the benchmarking is a development of the Initiative Competence Networks Office.
