Thermosensitive Drug Carrier
This innovative project involves the use of thermosensitive polymer carriers in which pharmaceutical agents are encapsulated together with magnetic particles. After being infused into the hepatic arterial system, the polymer carriers are directed toward the cancerous tissue where they collect under the influence of a non-contact static magneticfield. The subsequent application of inductive heat in a dynamic magnetic field causes the encapsulated drug ingredients to be released within just a few minutes. The simultaneous effect of overheating the tumor tissue hyperthermia) causes the tumor to gradually waste away.
