S2C modular modem series presented to broad public
The new modular modem series was presented to the broad public for the first time at OTO04 in Kobe, Japan. The markets most advanced underwater telemetry, including the incredible fast and robust S2C signal processing, is offered in a flexible design for easiest integration into marine systems.
The M1 (modular) series offers a variety of different transducer characteristics to achieve optimal performance for desired application, customer-programmable electronics, flexible housing and battery solutions as well as, of course, the unique S2C technology. It can be mounted in one piece for easy plug-and-play operation, or adapted to a systems special requirements.
The technique of underwater digital data transmission, resulting from work with dolphins over many years, allows to achieve bitrates not yet known in the maritime industry.
Whilst conventional systems have reached their physical barriers owing to multi-path propagation of the signals and resulting hall effects, EvoLogics is going new ways with S2C technology. The results are convincing: Even in ultra-shallow water conditions, which have been a very difficult problem to solve for general communication strategies, at horizontal real-time data links and in noisiest areas bitrates of up to 36 kbps are hardly a problem.
The S2C signal processing structures are completely resistant against Doppler and hall effects, extremly robust against disturbances and noise (it has even been possible to transmit data in the drilling fluid within drilling-rods) and can be self-adaptive to the transmission conditions in realtime.
